		<description>Windows 7 actually already includes the video codecs, but it doesn&#039;t include an MKV splitter, but you can get the splitter for free from DivX.

You install the DivX Plus Tech Preview: MKV on Windows 7, and it will enable MKV playback in Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, and even enable thumbnails for the files.  Also, if you have an Xbox 360, it enables streaming of MKV to there, too.

Again, what&#039;s nice about this is you don&#039;t have to install codecs... you&#039;re just enabling what Windows 7 already has thanks to DivX using Microsoft Media Foundation.</description>
