I have experience a trouble with playing MKV files with media player or classic AVI is OK. it plays it sound discreet CPU 100% load. And sound track lags to the move. Is this a normal to play that MKV super format.
I don’t know what a virus could be, I’ve Norton Antivirus updated. I had k-lite pak and used it several years. last version even Vista supported! I’s realy great but the problem appeared with MKV. it seems that I have several mkv files on the disk and I don’t remember if I had problem with them or not. Now I’ve installed Matroska and can’t play any of MKV files. Symptoms I described above. the file itself is too big 5.5GB I think it twice as normal for MKVs. 3GB maximum. bad things to download such big files then delete it, reinstall codecs and have a bad evening. I hate those ppl who populate viruses. Why they do that?

All I need is the codec to see an mkv file that has subtitles. Not another media player.

I am going to be doing some traveling soon and I would like to rip some anime dvds to laptop using the Matroska codec. I have tried the method where you rip the VOB/INFO file off the dvd and convert them to mkv but I can’t seem to get it to work. What is the easiest way to do this?
